CERN and the Sense of Beauty

Revealing the secrets of the underground CERN, Europe's research laboratory operating the largest particle physics laboratory in the world. Giant machines capture images with a power as mysterious as art, beauty and harmony becoming scientific models. Some at CERN believe in God, some believe in numbers. But all realize that the elusive nature of matter can only be understood with a sixth sense: the sense of beauty.

With scientists from around the globe, and artists such as Olafur Eliasson, Michael Hoch, Carla Canetti and many others. The pictures from CERN tell about spirituality of the people and the relationship of the people with Nature.

As human beings can't stop the warming of the Earth, in spite of Earth being its only habitat, the relationship is filled with fear and destructive powers.

Scientists at CERN are confronted with the big questions of philosophy and mysticism - about the universe, our origin, and about our destiny.
